PC comm card

I want to get a PC comm card but someone in one of the threads here said that it doesn't use a normal parallel cable.

My PC has an ISA slot, and I'd like to know if anyone knows for sure that a parallel cable can't be used to connect the PC comm card to an Action Replay.

It uses a "normal" (straight through, not a laplink or anything like that) male-female parallel cable (you can sometimes find these sold as "extension" cables). A printer cable is not the same as a parallel cable.

So I should be fine if I use my parallel cable that I currently use with my Tototek MD Pro flash cart?

I don't know the details of that cable, but it is probably the right kind. At worst you may need a gender changer.

Mine came boxed with floppy and cable from PSXdepot for $7 (I think it was $12 after shipping). This was more than a year ago though...

Did you use it with the Saturn Action Replay or PSX?

A now dead-and-gone game store near me wanted $50 for one, and they didn't know what it was. Bastards...

I just bought a regular parallel cable with a gender changer and that worked fine with my pc-comms card and a isa slot. Although remember you need to use the software in pure-dos last time I checked (years ago), a dos box doesnt cut it.
