Optical drive replaced...2 green cubes

I've replaced the optical drive of non-working 32 pin ic pcb with another one working 64 pin ic pcb.

The results is 2 green cubes at screen and doesn't recognise original games, only sound tracks.

This saturn has no chip, no video mod and no region mod, it is totally original VA9 motherboard with 64 PIN IC optical drive.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

P.S. i've tried to adjust laser trimmers with no relevant results.

first thought is to replace with another 32pin ic pcb. Second though and iirc, i was having a similar problem when installing a mod chip. The cable was faulty and that was my problem. THat could be yours, faulty connection.
