			Hi All I am a new member looking to get some help having uncovered an old megadrive. I have tried to hook it up to 2 TVs but without success. I live in the Urmston (M41 post code area) of Manchester, UK. I am looking to make contact with anybody that can help me get it going. Thanks in advance for any help Cheers Mike

			Hi Mike, Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about your problems with your mega drive however everything is fixable. "That's what I believe lol" From your post I believe that the console powers on but doesn't display any picture right ? Myself I'm no expert or a master with soldering skills of any sort lol. However I can direct you to a few websites that hopefully will help you better. (Or if there are any of the guys in here that can help). I found Sega-16... to be very informative and dedicated to the mega drive topics and problems. Hope you can fix yours. All the best !

			Is the red power light coming on? Do you know that to use your mega drive you need to have it switched on and connected to your TV while you make your TV scan for channels as if you are setting it up for the first time? This will allow it to find the Mega Drive's signal and display it.

			And you've cleaned the game cartridge with isoproypl alcohol and cotton swab? The picture will remain black if the game has dirty or oxidized contacts.
