Hey guys, just to make this quick. What was used to program for the NES? Assembler?

Assembly language would be the obvious answer. It's entirely possible that some other languages were used on some projects, but that probably would have been only a few projects, and quite possiblylanguages that would be considered oddballs today, such as FORTH or LISP (though the Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter game engines were written in custom LISP variants...).
