Neo Geo CD layout?

I'm interested in creating a bootable Neo Geo CD disk. I've written a demo for the Neo Geo CD and would like to get it working (at least booting) on a real Neo Geo CD system.

Does anyone know what the Neo Geo system looks for to determine if the game is a Neo Geo game CD or an audio CD?

Does anyone have a document explaining the layout of the CD? (Other than ISO).

NGCD uses a file called IPL.TXT to load the initial program. As far as I know, it doesn't use the ISO 9660 bootstrap area, but that could be wrong. You might want to look at Charles Doty's NGCD demo on his Arcade Development Central... site.

Hey, that's my site!

I've figured out the code part (fairly well), but there's something the NGCD needs to find on the CD to treat it as a NG CD game, rather than an Audio CD or something.

I finally got the bootable CD part figured out.

I've updated my Neo Geo CD with a version that will boot on a real Neo Geo CD.

Download it from Arcade Dev website... and follow the readme.txt in the zip file.
