Need help on issue with WINRAR

Hi,

I've been having some trouble trying to figure out how to compress a file into multiple files using WINRAR.

I can make one file from the compression easily but I can't seem to find the way to make an archive that will, in the end, be made up of several files, though I know it can be done obviously.

ex.

<...>.rar

<....>.r0

...

Stuff like this.

When I checked the help files that came with it, I found nothing either, so I thought I would ask.

Thanks to who answers this.

First of all, a question like this belongs in the Tech Help forum.

That being said, what you want is to locate the volume size option in the window for creating an archive. In WinRAR 3.0 Beta 2, this is on the General tab, in the lower-left corner and is labeled "Split to volumes, bytes". In this box, enter the desired size of each file in bytes, then create the archive.

Thanks.

I'll also make sure I post in the right section next time.
