I use firebird as well, with the occasional epiphany and safari use on the side.

 Gallstaff Jan 16, 2004
Safari is the browser of the devil

 racketboy Jan 16, 2004
what's wrong with Safari?

rather use it than IE

 racketboy Jan 16, 2004

I used it before Firebird and just seeing how I like it now

I'm a converted firebird user. I've been known to use opera in the past, though it's been a long time.

 racketboy Jan 17, 2004
I'm an ex-Opera user too

 Gallstaff Jan 17, 2004
Isn't opera supposed to be a pretty popular browser in europe?

 racketboy Jan 17, 2004
Might be -- that's where it originated from.

It kinda started the tabbed browsing thing and started other trends that Mozilla improved on. It was also lightweight. I loved it until Mozilla took everything one step further and made it more polished and completely free.

After using tabbed browsing, I'll never go back to IE.

I've had Mozilla installed for over half a year now. Used it maybe twice in that time, and that was only to check to see that the pages I was designing looked ok in it. I can't find a convincing reason to switch really.

can't find a convincing reason to use IE

IE is bulky, not sleek and frankly, the firebird popup blocker really is awesome.

 racketboy Jan 17, 2004
well I think I'm going with the full Mozilla suite now for my main machine.

It seems to run just a little smoother.

Plus I can keep it in memory when I boot up so it loads lightning fast.

The interegration nice too.

But I still recommend Firebird for slower systems.

more comments:

Mozilla Mail (and Thunderbird, I assume) rocks compared to Outlook Express.

I have Hotmail Popper to DL my Hotmail so that really helps.

I also added on Mozilla Calendar which happens to be nice for my needs. Turns out the file format is compatible with Apple's iCal
