Modchip > new laser or old

		I've got this modchip I want to install, but there's one thing I'd like to ask first. How can I see if my Saturn (PAL, round buttons) has a new laser or an old? THNX in advance

		Remove the 5 screws and open up the Saturn. Have a look at the CD board. It will have either a rectangular 32 pin IC, a square 64 pin IC or no ICs. If it has a 32 pin IC, all is well.

		depends on the chip, as of right now there aren't any places I'm aware of that sell a chip that works in the 64 pin saturn.

		Actually, I've gotten the chips I sell to work in my 64 pin Saturn but others have not and I don't know why. Trying to figure out the cause.
