Anybody play this remake yet? Wondering if I should pick it up.

I didn't realize it was out yet. I was planning on getting it. Sounds to be pretty cool. And they have link features between Zero and Fusion.

I'm not sure it's out quite yet.
I'll be picking it up once I finish Fusion.

im thinking about getting if for nothing else than the unlockable version of the original metroid

You can unlock the original game in Zero Mission too? Wow. What they can fit on small things these days.

 Supergrom_vbulletin3_import15713 Feb 11, 2004
well, according to the review at IGN you can, but I guess you never really know with those guys.

When you link a completed Zero with Fusion (probably completed too) you unlock the original Metroid on the Zero Mission cart.

 IceDigger Feb 12, 2004
I believe the original Metroid game was only 131KB. So they can fit that easily onto the cart.

 ratfish Feb 14, 2004
Yeah, they probably can.
I love the e-reader cards too, great little things.

Bought it yesterday, beat it today, took about 3 and a half game hours... Good game, just short, even after not playing the original for a long time.
I didn't even visit every area... i think i skipped a few items too.
Oh and you don't need fusion to play the original metroid, it's playable after you beat it.

Hehe - you tell that game who's boss! Speaking of games and passing them, I passed Doom II the other day...man, countless hours into that game - and I was speeding my way through the levels too! But the game just went on and on and on and on....

Which is good :medieval:
