Memory cards - Need some help/advice

I've recently bought a NTSC N64. But the problem is that my old 3rd party memory card seem to have died.

Every time I use them I get a corrupt data error and a prompt to repair them, which I do, then its back to the corrupt data error message.

I guess that the cards are dead, unless you can think of anything that might revive them.

My question is this, what's a good memory card solution for the N64... I want something reliable, not necessarily something with loads of capacity.

It's possible that it's a problem with your controller, such as the connector being dirty or broken. Of course, third-party manufacturers making crap isn't exactly unheard of either...

For reliability, official Nintendo Controller Paks are probably your best bet; there is probably a good third-party manufacturer (I'd put stock in Mad Catz as a solid possibility from what I've seen from their other proucts), but the Nintendo cards aren't super-expensive anymore, probably something to do with the GC launch.
