i'm all set with my purple gamecube and by black controller. I'm an ex student and we used to spend plenty of time in halls playing mariokart on the n64. Its a great game and it is perfect for playing whilst pissed out of your tiny mind at 4 in the morning. Is there any talk of a gamecube version of this?

Yes, but when no one is sure
It's been in developement for some time now and there was even a pre-rendered video of it shown at Space World (or possibly even E3 last year). Unfortunately nothing else has been revealed about it but it's widely rumoured to be on of Nintendo's first 1st party online games.
