Ok, this might be a very stupid question, but what is it? I just bought my first N64. While installing the expansion pak, i noticed that there was a Jump Pak where the expansion pak goes to. I tried searching for info about it, but i couldn't find any...

When you get to a certain spot in some games your n64 will actually "jump" up and down.

Actually I have no idea.

its just the base ram that the n64 came with. I dont know exactly how much it is, but its less than 4mb and when you replace the jumper pack with the expansion pack you are upgrading the amount of ram to 4mb.

Umm, not quite.

The Jump Pak is just a place holder. The N64 wont work without either the Jump Pak or Expansion Pak installed.

And the Expansion Pak upgrades the N64's total Video RAM to 8Mb, twice that of the PS2!
