To play all Japanese games, you need to be able to set the console to "domestic" (i.e. Japan) mode. This can be done with a switch, though you could also just hardwire it if you don't care about North American games. The remote possibility also exists that some nutty programmer made a game that only works on systems set to domestic/50Hz, in which case you'd need another switch (and a suitable display device).

Quite a few. They can be patched with a Game Genie or Action Replay so that they always pass the check, but the codes are game-specific. |
