As far as I'm aware, it doesn't. Just in case, I checked some places that have similar things (like ninjas  ), but assuming that this old scroll related to some old place, most areas are out of question.
And I don't think it's a riddle, it's likely a coded message (as in you need to arrange or take specific letters, to get a message). That's why I asked in the first place - I can run text through translator, but this requires some understanding of japanese. From knowledge of areas in the game, there is only one place, that contain nothing in particular. It's called (Poseidon's Harbor, I assume). I'm pretty sure, that this place is somehow connected to this. I just hope, that solution doesn't involve filling in blanks.
