| I had a similar problem with my Saturn. Either the laser on your sytem is damaged or the cd its self is faulty/damaged. (Edited by Animal at 2:33 pm on Dec. 29, 2001) | |||

| Tried it with every CD in my collection, music CDs too! Nothing. Must be a fault with the laser, but I can't see anything wrong with the laser? Strange.... | |||

| I swapped laser systems over from a machine they had in store, to mine, now it works. | |||

| the only other thing that might have been worth a try is cleaning the ribbon cable connenctors on the cd drive unit | |||
