What are you talking about? Why is this suddenly an issue after 4 months? |
Curtis | Jun 27, 2004 | |||
I can confirm that he's had no PMs or email sent through the board that would appear to have anything to do with warnings... I ask again, why the raving? |
retroborg | Jun 27, 2004 | |||
Use what ever you like. That Doesn't cancel out the fact that the forum rules are uninformative, carelessly written & need to be placed on all forums! |

Tell you what - I'll give you a refund on your membership fees because we're clearly not giving you value for money. I can't say fairer than that. |

Warning: |

Neo Geo CD thread: |
retroborg | Jun 27, 2004 | ||||
"Clearly" :thumbs-up: Good thing that it was so clearly stated! Somebody needs to learn the basics, of how to design a forum obviously! |
retroborg | Jun 27, 2004 | ||||
I don't like being warned for something not clearly stated! Forum rules exist only in "General" One has to navigate through all the forums, just to find them. Place them in the root of the forum & then start warning people. Hypocritical! |
antime | Jun 27, 2004 | |||
Since you seem to be extraordinarily thick even by Superyoshi standards, let me repeat this just once more: you were not warned for the Iron Clad post. You've used the General forum before. If you have been incapable of finding and/or reading the rule post there, having them repeated in every forum (as they used to be) would make no difference at all. |

:sigh Ok, let's go through your basic list of demands. Not informative? What do you mean? As in "no information"? Well that's clearly not true, there is plenty of information in that single point.
Maybe. Show me the thread you are talking about and we'll take it from there. If you have concerns about a particular thread, you should find a "Report this post to a moderator" link in every thread.
This is covered in rule 3 - "Homebrew development discussions on these systems will be allowed". Read. Understand. Move on.
*Gasp!* See antime's response to this. If you're a newbie who just jumps onto the first forum he sees without taking the time to familiarise yourself with the layout of the forum - particularly threads with titles like "Rules - read or die" - then you're asking for trouble. I have no sympathy. And the vast majority of members on this board with a warn level of 0 don't seem to have had any problem with this system.
As you seem a little unclear as to which post (and yes that is singular - you have only ever been warned once) it was that got you warned and why, then don't come crying to us for "justice". Get your facts straight. Why didn't you complain at the time of the warning? Talk about being a drama queen... |

Im not sure exactly because i signed up a while ago. But i slightly remembering being informed during the sign up process to read the rules in the "general" forum. Nevermind the fact that true this is a free forum, so dont get so touchy, iceman gives alot to this community. Email, PM, a great forum page, alot of sega news and awesome people to converse with. Stop griping about frivolous crap. |

i'm assuming the asking a question about burning wasn't against the rules if so there wouldn't be a section about burning games. http://www.phantasy-star-universe.com/foru...?show... http://www.phantasy-star-universe.com/foru...?show... both of those threads talk about burning games and they're both in this forum section http://www.phantasy-star-universe.com/foru...hp?sh... |
Pyrite | Jun 27, 2004 | |||
Yes but he was asking how he could play [not burn] a NeoCD cd-image in a emulator, it cleary states no emu/rom talk. |
joe81 | Jun 28, 2004 | |||
ya missed that part sorry |
retroborg | Jun 28, 2004 | ||||||||||||||||
The rules are uninformative, misstated, scattered all over the place like a puzzle & need to be revised! The āNO EMU/ROM TALKā is not contained within the rules, but instead itās unclearly placed beneath the NEO GEO forum. Scattering different bits & pieces of these so-called āinformativeā rules across the board, other than in the final document, is a nuisance!
I have nothing to report. Besides, Iām not a pimp unlike others. I wanted to post a question on how to rip images (not FMVs) from a PS-1 disc, specifically from the ending slide show of Mega Man X6, but I didnāt, because I have no time reading through all the forums to find if this is breaking any misplaced rules, as it isnāt stated in the General.
About the Iron Clad post, I didnāt talk about ROMs but ISOs! As for the Emu part, one could only consider it as āHomebrew development discussionā
Sorry for being a newbie Mr. Administrator. That would be true if this board only had 5-6 forums. But with 50 different ones, itās someone elseās problem for doing a sloppy work in the lay out. This is probably the only site in the Net, that doesnāt have the rules posted in every forum. Itās not that it takes a lot of space. Youāll also find a lot of other āinformativeā rules present in other sites, missing from SX board. Not my problem.
First edit some decent final rules to justify the āinformativeā statement, place them everywhere & then start warning/banning. |
