		Thank you sega! Is it just me, or was anyone else tired of sonics hip new attitude after adventure was released? I remember the old sonic with the slight beer belly and green, non-menacing eyes. With the sublted four spikes instead of the razors he has and the triangular red and white shoes instead of these cross-trainers with the buckles he has now. Anyway, I just saw the cover of sonic heroes And I am just glad that they're going back to the way he used to look, more like a child, but still awsome at the same time. What do you guys think?

		I think this look is a cross from old to new. Sorta like what he woulda looked like inbetween. :blah

		I see what you mean but I think that they couldn't help making him look that way because it's in 3d now and you're used to him looking all badass in 3d.

		What I missed most in the DC incarnations was his attitude... Sonic was such a fast little badass but in SA1&2 he came out as being a bid too goody goody. And the voice acting....ackkkkkkkk.Is tails turning on 5? However, they seemed to give Knuckles the attitude but his music was hilarious IMO. Cheezy 80's rap style. It is hard to transition a great 2d series into 3d but Sega managed to do alright... for Sonic stages at least. What the crap was with adventuring around massive levels to find crap? despite all my bitching, I did enjoy (and own) both Sonic games for DC (not Sonic shuffle though...shrudders) I hope Sega refined what was great about the others and put it into this title. I'm skeptical about the 3 person team deal but we'll see how it turns out in less than a month As for the cover (topic shmopic) I think its nice, though I don't see it selling that great to those casual gamers who buy by the 'coolness' of the cover. And Sonic still looks too skinny, he used to have such a ponch in the Genny days. But seeing as he's Sega's mascot I think I may be a little too critical at times.... ---Ammut

		Yeah sonic did have a bit of a tummy way back when and he was shorter, but i'd still say they did a pretty good job. You're right though, in the SA's he was all cocky he was like "I'm sonic and i'm here to fuck you up" but what made him so cool in the gennies was that he was a very modest hero who knew he could kick ass but didn't flaunt it.

		okay i'm going to use this as an opportunity to pose a question i'm sure has been asked a million times before and has been bugging me for the past 15 days or so. WHY THE FUCK DOES TAILS HAVE A FULL FUCKING NAME!? why not just "tails the fox" or something? why is he MILES "FUCKING" PROWER?! JESUS.

		this is true, but I did enjoy the sonic saturday morning series. Not the one where he runs around some weird, deformed mobious, but the one where he's in some sort of rock band or something. Oh and uh his name is miles because thats his fucking name. Tails is a nick name sonic gave him after he saw that he had 2 tails and could fly.

i actually liked the dark SatAM one, it was my favorite of the sonic cartoons

if i recall correctly the one where hes ina rock band never made it to USA shores, i know it was broadcast to frenchies tho [/b][/quote]

Funny you guys mentioned this one, I saw it this morning while i was sick in bed, UPN 13 Los Angeles at 8:30am. With my dizzyness, i thought i was tripping out, when him and his family were playing instruments and making crazy light beams come out of it. The reason I was tripping was because I was used to the "urkel" sonic, on the weird mobius that Gallstaff mentioned. And Sonic playing a magical guitar seemed like quite a stretch. Weird it was.

		oh cool, didnt know it was finally on us shores, maybe its cuz sonic is so popular again or something, the saturday cartoon i said i liked was the one that was on ABC, da one that pwned, not the gay Adventures of SOnic The Hedgehog with Scratch and the other robot bein gay lovers on disney

I saw the guitar playing sonic cartoon a few times on Teletoon (in Canada), so I figure it must've been played in the states aswell. I watched all of the 1st episode I caught and I didn't like it...the whole 'rockin' theme took sonic down low, and all the plots were freaking dumb IMO (from what I saw anyway). Sonic had 1 brother (green and fatter)and 1 sister (pink like amy), and they went around in a van. A van! Sonic should not travel in a ****** van!

I did like the dark sonic Saturday morning cartoon when I was a kid though, great stuff. Wasn't SX going to host them at some point? Maybe I'll find 'em all and host them on FTP/bittorrent

Sonic was such a clever badass

afaik dvd's still havent been put out, theres a disc with like 2 or 3 eps, but its poorly encoded, still a nice thing to have tho

		Yeah the saturday morning one was the best. I'm pretty sure I have the theme song around here somewhere too lol. In any case, sonic probably had a tummy from all those damn chili dogs!

The designer of Tails - Yasushi Yamaguchi - originally wanted the characters name to be Miles, but the rest of the team disagreed and wanted Tails as his name. They reached a compromise after Yamaguchi began throwing in his suggestion into the game's art. His full name became Miles "Tails" Prower.

		... I mean in terms of the plotline of the game itself thats why he's called tails. It was even explained in the weird deformed mobious sonic cartoon.

LMFAO... I was thinking the same thing.. I mean I remember playing through the first SA, waiting for tails, ball to drop. I mean wtf was up with that voice, wow,.... but still though both of those games were awesome, not withstanding they emensly gay voiceovers, and imo "horrible" voice acting... "geee sonic, why won't you listen to me..." wtf... hahahahhaha man, I remember cracking up when I heard most of the dialogue for the first time... lol.... :lol: :lol: :lol:
