Is there a way to reinforce a crack on the clear, inner ring on the CD? A piece is not broken. It's just a stress crack.

I suppose you could use some super glue or something. Just make sure to apply it evenly all around the ring, and also you'll probably want to put it on the top only.

Here is a fun experiment for you...

Things you need:

One music CD (preferably crap, like Prodigy-fat of the land or Metallica-ReLoad)

One portable CD player that don't sit there repeatedly trying to read a scratch but instead continue on with interupting the music. Really old ones do this, its great fun.

Super glue and scotch tape

Now, shatter the CD into small pieces... glue them all back to together with the tape and super glue. Allow to dry. Now put in CD player place player on table. It will now dance around on the table while pumping out a funny beat of ticks.

Tick Tick Ticka ticka tick turk tick ticka tick tick!
