Do you have QuickTime installed? BTW, why do you want to convert your .mov file? |

I have QuickTime installed, but I hardly to never use it. Instead, I have .mov files associated with Media Player Classic... (MPC) and I use it to play instead of QuickTime. It's so much smoother. MPC --> Options... --> Format --> check QuickTime file (.mov .qt) Have you tried this method of .mov file playback? |

If you have the Pro version of QuickTime, you can export the .mov file to an uncompressed AVI file and then compress that to MPG using Adobe Premiere or TMPGEnc. Alternatively, if your .mov file (e.g., movie trailers) is locked, you can use Bink and Smacker's The RAD Video Tools... to convert to a compressed or uncompressed AVI file. |
