It would seem that the North Carolina AG has finally stepped in... to crack down on Buy-Rite Games.

For those not familiar with Buy-Rite Games, they are notorious for thier questionable service....

Yeah, I saw that on GameSpot yesterday. I'm glad to see something finally done about that. What's weird though, is when I placed a couple orders with them a few years ago, I had no problems whatsoever--I guess I was really lucky.

They screwed up one of my orders before too.

I'm glad to see they are finally shut down! :cheers

I hope they don't try to continue business under a new name. Maybe they'll try to dump their inventory using ebay.

Wow. I'm surprised.

I didn't think anything was ever going to happen. It's about time.

414 complaints within 3 years?? That is crazy!! I realize it takes more than 1 complaint, but averaging about 140 per year? No f'n way it should have lasted this long.

wow, nice, I got the shaft from them...lol

If this is the same service, which I believe it is, I ordered a game or some games from them, and about six months later, I received an email from them stating the game weren't in stock lol

eh, that kinda sucks for me and ex locally because they ran a store here in raleigh (NC, where they're based) and while it was shady in the store, you could at least get what you paid for, even if that wasn't the case online.
