Burnt Mega CD game doesn't play

I've burnt a Mega CD game (Wolfchild) but it won't play on my PAL Mega CD 1.

I've applied the region patch before burning, and the game seems to load, but all I see are blocks. The picture is completely screwed up.

What can be the problem of this? I've written it on a 80 min CD-r. Can this be the problem?

It shouldn't be. Maybe the problem lies in the speed that your burnt the game. Generally 4-8x are the safest speeds, with anything lower safer still.

well, I've burned another CD, Eternal Champions, I used the country patch and it plays...

for a while. Guess the country patch didn't succeed...

Some segacd games just can't be patched.

I guess so...

I think it's best for me to buy an action replay cartridge so I don't have to patch these games. Does anyone know where I can buy this?

Datel CD-X is the actual name. It's works just like an Action Replay. Same idea...
