http://sourceforge.net/projects/bochs/... Who tried this ? It can emulate instructions that are not available on your PC. Does it mean I could run SSF on my Athlon XP ? |

I tried it ages ago and it was s.l.o.w. Props for the devs doing it, but even if it can do what you ask, SSF would probably render a frame every day or so. |

Yeah, AFAIK Bochs is mainly used by operating system developers, although even many of them seem to be moving to QEMU nowadays. |

Unfortunatly QEMU works only on Linux |
ExCyber | Jul 17, 2006 | |||
Where did you hear that? It runs on Windows, FreeBSD, NetBSD, MacOS X and Solaris as well... |

I checked on sourceforge or there http://fabrice.bellard.free.fr/qemu/index.html..., I noticed there was something to boost speed on PC CPU but nothing for Windows. I'll check again, I'm blind. |

There aren't pre-built binaries for anything other than Linux/i386 on the site. |

Some binaries for Windows are here http://daimon55.free.fr/qemu/... |
