Quite common topic, what are the best XBox games in your opinion ?

Soul Caliber II

Fight Night Round 2

Elder Scrolls (bad load times, a bit buggy, but otherwise great game)

Halo

Guilty Gear

Outlaw Volleyball is awesome beyond belief

kotor

kotor ii

Vexx is pretty neat, and rapala pro fishing if you like that sort of thing

Beyond good and evil is pretty neat

Syberia, Syberia ii if you like graphical adventures with no fighting

Munch's Odyssey (i personally like it but not sure how many others do)

Some people also think highly of x-men legends 1 and 2 and halo 2 as well. I personally found x-men legends pretty boring though, haven't tried halo 2 yet.

I think pro evolution soccer would also be a great game to try. I played the PC version, and it was awesome, good graphics, very challenging..

Panzer Dragoon Orta is all you need.

I cant really add anything to the games that already were mentioned. I also like guilty gear, soul caliber and syberia. but as for halo 2, I guess it was a good game but nothing to be all excited about.

What's difficult about this is that there are so many good games that are multiplatform, it's hard to say 'yes, get this, you'll love it on this system'. That being said, side by side, Xbox games are just sharper than PS2 versions.

I absolutely loved Oddworld - it's one of those games that makes buying an xbox worth it. Same for:

Project Gotham Racing 2

Top Spin Tennis

Splinter Cell (any of them - they look the best on the xbox, out of all the consoles)

Crazy Taxi 3

Jet Set Radio Future

I have to go through my (small) collection - I know I'm missing a few.

I definately agree.

I also enjoyed ToeJam and Earl 3, Fable, Jet Set Radio Future, and a few others. Didn't play to many games on it though so it is hard to really judge.

However, you're then stuck playing said games with one of the worst controllers ever (Yes, I'm talking about both the Duke and the S).

Multiplatform titles: PS2 > Xbox, because of the controller alone. In some cases (Prince of Persia, EA Street for example) the GameCube version controls the best.

That is unequivocally a matter of personal opinion, because in my mind, the PS2 is the worst designed controller I've ever used. This followed very closely by what Nintendo called a controller for the GCN (and if it's a fighter, GCN's is the worst).

Having just received a PS2, the controller response is very good, but it's uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time.

On that subject, my favorite controller is MadCatz's wireless controller for the Xbox (smaller than the S), followed by 3DFX's Hammerhead for the PC (anyone remember MIDI ports?).
