I just spent the last 2 hours trying to put a drive in this case, but due to the fact that the engineer who designed this case was a retarded monkey, it seems to be impossible to put 3.5" drives in this case, despite it having spots for them. What really pisses me off is this is the second case in a row that I've had that was designed so that you couldn't actually use them. The first one had the holes for the motherboard risers tapped to be the wrong threads, so I couldn't put a motherboard in it! I'm NEVER spending less than $100 for a case EVER again.

Hey, don't blame the retarded monkey who designed the case-- he probably did a good job. It's the retarded monkey who built the case that fucked up!

About the other case.. there are ways to secure the PCB to the case without using screws... but I don't recommend it!

I considered drilling and retapping the holes, then using some kind of adhesive to hold the risers in place, but it's not worth it. The second case is one of those that uses quick release things you screw on the sides of the drives, but the problem is that if you put the quick release thing on both sides, then it won't fit in the rails designed for them, and if you only use 1 of the quick releases then the drive is only in there loosely.

Ah ok. I think I know what you're talking about.. I've seen certain Macs that have something similar to those quick release things.

Well, if all else fails, you could always use Velcro as long as you're not going to move the thing around too much. Hell, I've had hard drives just dangling in cases by their cables for months at a time without any problems.
