 Pearl Jammzz Nov 18, 2004
So any news? Done any work? Even back from vacation? lol.

<~~~~~~~has very low patience for things he likes

 Runik Nov 20, 2004
Yeah, I'm back from vacation

But in the meantime I had a lot of work, business trips, etc. ... so I didn't have time to code much.

But I have some before/after pics

Daytona USA

Alone in the Dark

Dracula X title screen is getting gorgeous

Digital Pinball looks nice too

 Pearl Jammzz Dec 5, 2004
Sweet . Those are looking good, keep up the good work!

I've started messing around with the RAM cart setup ... what's cool is that I did 95% of the required work when I coded the ST-V part

So here's a screenshot of Metal Slug running, it crashes when the loading is complete ... I'll try more games tonight

Good Work again Runik.

wow, nice. let us know when you get it runnin will yas?

 Runik Jan 12, 2005
Thanks guys

I tested Metal Slug in full debug mode and guess what ... it's "playable" ! Well, it's around 1 fps but hey, that's a progress

Here are some screens :

 Borisz Jan 12, 2005
I think Metal Slug is one of the games that loads data WHILE playing CD Audio, is that true? I think at the part on mission 1, where the helicopter appears. Well, it crashes on Satourne at that part, it needs an alternate ASPI plugin to work.

 Runik Jan 20, 2005
Do you want screenshots ? I can't hear you !!!

Some KOF '97 would be nice ?

Too bad it dies just before the first fight ...

Samurai Shodown 4 has some sprites scrambled and crashes at game start ...

As a bonus, enjoy this fine engrish line

Super Real Mahjong P6 can't go past the title screen ...

 Runik Jan 20, 2005
And last but not least, Final Fight Revenge almost start a fight !

It dies just before it though ...

Sorry about asking a stupid question... how far away is Saturnin sound support?

|<--------------->|

That far (not to scale)

(thanks to bash.org )

Believe it or not not, but sound support is already in Saturnin. I didn't enable it yet because the current slowness would make the sound slutter and the hearing painful ...

The upside is that adding sound won't make the emu slower

 Drenholm Jan 21, 2005
Wow, fantastic!

I see your point now. But I'm sure that your emulator is getting faster all the time? I really need to spend some time trying it out on my computer.

Either way, I wish you all the best with Saturnin. It would be brilliant if it could become a rival to GiriGiri!
