Very sad to hear about Dan's passing. I was in contact with him the night before he died. So sorry to hear, it all happened so fast.

Anyway, I was the sole translator for this project since the beginning. I did most of Zarma and all of Ortoma. I am currently almost done with Iga Village. I did the translations for all the weapons, items and techs as well as Dan and I renaming them to better names and also due to space considerations. I also did all the descriptions for them as well as most of the playable character profiles. I am also working on the game manual which I am 15 pages deep into.

I would like to continue working on this project for him. This is my first translation project. I was thrilled (and surprised) that he asked me to do it and up until he expanded the team in December, I was the only translator working with him on this as far as I know. It would be great if I could get in touch with some of the team to continue this project preferably over Discord.

Iga Village is nearly done. I have no contacts in the translation scene, Dan was my only contact for this project.

I just helped explain some of the more technical stuff to him, Id still be happy to help when I can but I don't have much left to offer.

Yeah, I heard you've been in touch with KoD about it too. I'm glad you have the translation files Dan was working on because I can't get into the Google Drive. We'll get a new team together somehow and get this done. Our "team" was all held together by Dan. I honestly thought he had a bit more time than he had, I'm kinda stunned that he's gone...

Sad. I talked two weeks ago with him to offer my help, and he seemed quite content and didn't need it. Prompted me to wait and stay tuned for the release, so I kind of hyped and checked every day. I got quite shocked and sad.

If I can help anyone with anything in this project, please tell me.

Hi Sessh, I want to begin with an apology. I helped co-write the SHIRO! piece that discussed the patch and Dan's passing, and in my rush to get the article public (and my ignorance of everyone's role in the team) I left you out. As the - still - lone translator of the project, you should have been given a proper nod. Again, I am sorry. I have edited the article to draw attention to your role.

I have access to the project Google Drive as well. I will DM you my Discord info.

Very sad to hear of Dan's passing, I was following the project and he was always very communicative and willing to talk about progress. Best luck to all those who choose to continue on with the project, I'm sure you'll knock it out of the park.

We will get it done eventually. Progress will be slow, but it is going.
