Why so secretive? I really don't get it. It's firmware for a 30 year old game console, not the nuclear codes. I'm one of the people with a Sophia running an earlier dev firmware (socketed IC, no copy protection): I'm more than happy to dump it and share it publicly, along with firmware dumps from the other 8 saturns of various regions/models I have, in case there's anything new in there too. I have all the tools/skills to put something together to do the dumping on my end, but I don't have the time or inclination to figure out the method from scratch and design something new to do it, yet again, a decade after it was first done. Surely in 2025, we can have some gerbers and source up on github with a DIY dumping guide? That's what I'm waiting for. |
