			But a similar double standard applies in reverse. It's far less socially acceptable for a heterosexual man to admit to not having many (or any) sexual partners than for a woman - he is seen as a "loser", geek, or is mistakenly assumed to be gay. Believe me, I know 



It really comes down to the perceived roles of men and women in society, which despite "feminism and all that" haven't changed all that much in the past 50 years. It is still the man's job to "hit on" the woman, and the woman's to resist his advances (or at least give an impression of not being "easy". Anyone - male or female - who falls outside these narrow boundaries is subject to a great deal of prejudice.


The first part is true.

About the second part i have to say that its just the same thing since thers mankind.The woman must be the wife,the mother,the one to cook,the one to raise the children.The man has to be the symbol of power and show his power through his skills in "hitting" females.If both don't fit the standard they are:w=slut,m=gay,fag,loser and so on.The problem is that many times the roles switch and females try to act like the fashion of a man.She must play the independant wman who shows her power in controlling men,and having so many as posible.

I personnaly was never interrested in starting a relationship or something like that.I am too self concentrated for women to start a relationship with me.But thats a thing i have to be proud of.I don't act like an idiot just to get a girl.Thats what most men do.Thats why most men are turning to male bitches during the last years and women turn to female players because they understand the control they can have over men....too bad

ShinJedah.......It is not up to women to teach you how to feel about them. Especially as you become an adult, you are responsable for your own feelings. Are you sure you have'nt misread their intentions? What does it make you if you don't "go up" to them. Could'nt you also call these confident, strong, take charge of their bodies and lives, kind of women, as well?

I don't mean to insult you, but why should they go up to you or give a #### about you or me? Who are we to be given a #### about especially if they don't know us?

I'm sure you will find that your feelings will evolve as you age. The same is true for Chakkan. Why be so judgemental? Who cares what others think of you? Do you live your lives only in a way that you think others aprove of? As long as you are not physically, intentionally hurting someone, who cares? And please, no arguments that unprotected sex is hurting someone. If anyone has unprotected sex with an unfamiliar partner then you are foolish!

I'm only being 'judgemental' because someone asked for my opinion, or more specifically, the opinions of people who frequent this board. It is of my opinion that that girl, who has slept with all of that guy's friends without discretion, is a FUCKING SLUT.

However, I will say that people who act like Cynnamin and her beau are, no matter how many cuts they could put in their bedposts, responsible adults... at least when it comes to sex. ^_^

Thats something you can't judge without having somebodys experiences.

Example:

No girl gives a #### about me.School basketball final.I play my best:we win the game.You know what i heard?"You might be,and look like shit,but you can play ball!"

How would you take that?

That sounds like they're joking around, ShinJedah. I wouldn't take such comments so heavily. "Jocks" (that is, guys who play sports and hang out with other guys a bit too much) tend to make more "mean-spirited" jokes than anyone, because that's just the way they learn to joke around with their friends. At least that's from my experience (having been a jock a time or two in the past).

#### i should have left out calling the girl a slut lol. what ever you know what the thing is i used the term slut because she sleeps around with many people that's it i wasn't trying to insult anyone by using this term i mean #### the girl is a nice girl i would consider her a friend even(true i don't do much with her but when ever i hang out with her she's cool). The thing is people are different who the #### cares i can be a radical religious person that doesn't do anything and believes laughing is the work of the devil or i can be a person that does everything that's possibly thought of as wrong. Here's the thing i might give people classifications or titles but that's just what they are to me a way of classifying people because of their actions true i might labbel some girl a slut but to me it's meaningless i'll still treat the girl with respect and everything. Treat everyone the same no matter what only treat people that you really care about differently that's how i think of things i mean everyone has possitives and negatives that girl has a lot of positives that shouldn't be overlooked because of her negatives.

And the thing is who the fuck cares what others think(oh wait what's the point of making any statments ehhh what ever the ####)

If you guy's would step back and read your comments right now, as if wriiten by another person, you would see a lot of anger toward women in your words. I very seriously say this....you may wish to pursue some counseling. That said.......did you not look at the picture I posted? I was a fat kid in school. Did I date in high school? Not on your life! I was the nice guy...all the girls friend. When I look back on it...it was'nt so bad. Life is not about getting "laid" at the youngest age possible. Most teens can't handle the emotional issues that arise and they certainly find it hard to handle resposabilities such as parenthood, that could be an outcome. But at the same time, we all had that pressure. Being their friend, though, taught me to appreciate them for who they were and not for the "bumpy" areas on their bodies. I was bald at an early age also, yet I ended up with a very beautiful woman as my wife. Go figure?!?

if you were talking about me falstaff then you're wrong on the anger towards women but the counseling thing can be said about everyone. #### i'd call a guy a slut if he slept around just i have different words for it and none are possitive ones.

That may be true *if* it's applied to people in general and not just women. By and large, however, it's applied far more to women than men. All you need to do to verify this is look at the connotation of being a virgin: a female virgin is "pure and unspoiled", while a male virgin is "a loser who can't get any". As Mike G mentioned, this disparity is not only permitted, but expected and encouraged. It's sad, really - I've even heard a joke about Nikola Tesla (who most Americans probably haven't properly heard of because Edison is supposed to be the only electrical genius) not being able to invent a "get laid ray".

And then there are people who think if you have sex before you're married you're going to ####. Or you're a horrible person if you touch yourself. I don't really give two shits what people do. Personally I find life to be a lot easer if I don't waste my energy on making fun of people for making choices I don't agree with. Unless they negatively affect me, in which case you're in for a lashing (of the verbal variety).

At least, we are being as responsible about it as we possibly can be.

That's the WHOLE PROBLEM with this entire issue.

Hardly ANYONE {myself included, until recently} is willing to be responsible about sex and act like an adult.

As I told a younger friend of mine the other day -

You stick your dick in her, expect her to get her claws in you. If she doesn't, you better fucking run because if she had two cents worth of brains, she'd be after you like bees on honey.

If you can't figure out why, you need to talk to some females.

Don't be I'm a lot more trouble than I'm worth, most of the time. I need to drag my boy online on here sometime to give a testimonial about me.

It would look something like this:

"She needs to get more sun. She plays DAOC too much and spends entirely too much time on the pc. She has fits if her ftp goes offline or her downloads get interrupted. She always gets me killed in games because she's too busy socializing. She is way too interested in video games and she has crazy hair."
