Thanks a lot for the suggestions =]
My hack reduces the rate by around 67% (2/3), and it definitely matters in the last area, you're right.
I also replaced the very inappropriate BGM in that area specifically, the new one does it justice a lot more.
What does Aine's speed boost power do exactly, increase his agility?

Yeah, it seems it's never too late to improve such a gem =]

For the record, i'm still working on V4, coding some kind of custom skill engine these days.
Who knows, attack skills might be a thing after all...

Awesome! Its probably good to have some parts of the game have a high encounter rate just so you dont have to grind at every roadblock, but the last dungeon was just broken.

Yes, and its not long before he gets two turns before you get a single turn. Another fix for it could just be that no matter how fast you get you never get double turns.

To avoid the endless grinding drawback, random encounters have a 50% XP|gold buff.
But at the same time, the difficulty of those was increased (player dmg - 25%, AI dmg + 25%), as they were reported to be too easy.
Those numbers may eventually change if i get enough feedback, or course.

Regarding the Aine issue, i didn't even know it was possible to get 2 actions in a row.
I'll do my best to see what i can do, though i have yet to understand how the algorithm that generates action order is coded.

My Fiancee and Have Been waiting to play your Hack Game man. Do you think it’s ready enough to give it a go?

I believe V3 is very stable, and it's reached more than a hundred downloads without a single bug report.
You and your miss should definitely give it a go, yes.

Like i mentioned earlier, what i have in store next will take time to achieve, i wouldn't recommend waiting for it.

Cheers =]

Thanks Brother! And Thank you for your hard work. We will truly enjoy it this weekend.

I also just finished fixing a 1998 Compaq PIII 500mhz w/ ATI Rage Pro 8MB 130MB Ram PC100, WIN98 SE. I'm going to share my MSDOS childhood with Heather (Fiancé). We both love point and click games! Any Suggestions?

what in the hell is the neccesity or interest for this? the original while flawed with too many sporadic boss fights. I could honestly think of better things to fill your time with than trying to bend or demand the game to your desire. People these days, dont want to play games. They want to imitate and recreate the original product. This is beyond ridiculous why you would invest this much time into albert odyssey.

why would you invest this much time writing your comment? He put his own time into something he liked to do. It’s also free to download and play. I don’t understand you

As far as i'm concerned, the visuals and musics alone justify attempting to improve the rest.
I would lie if i said that my "desire" isn't involved, but believe it or not, what i've altered so far is mostly based on the many reviews i took the time to check on the web (i barely played the game actually, outside of testing).
The time i spend on this project is nothing more than a hobby, "necessity" is a big word.
What kids play these days isn't exactly my concern, but you're right, the death of imagination didn't spare video games at all.
Take care =]
