What's the best handheld for homebrew emulation?
You can get a Zodiac 1 with a nice accessory bundle from ebuyer.com for under $200 now.
The homebrew scene isn't as lively as with the GP32, but there's some nice stuff. LJZ is a decent multi-console emulator. Genesis and SNES are still a little slow (needs more optimization), but the older systems work well. Multimedia support is excellent now thanks to TCPMP.
I've written a little music application for the Zodiac along with my friend Bill. I submitted it to the gbax.com 2K5 compo, and that's currently the only place it's available. |
