| All I had to do was scrape away the small amount of excess solder that was joining two of the ICs legs. | |||

well we tried getting the excess solder off, but didn't have much luck apparently you just have the skill I guess | ||||

| WAY too late - but: the same just happened here - so heres my guess for this problem: I also was solderiing my Chip to the CD-Board... and... this specific leg you have to attach the cable to has a 2-3milimeter circuit path to the next contact on the board... happened here that I destroyed the circuit path where the IC leg normally is soldered to.. took me a while to figure it out... solution.. get a sharp small knife and scrape off the green cover from the rest of the circuit path. Now get a SMALL piece of wire (maybe solderi only will also do) - before you cut the wire glaze it with solder. Take tweezers, bring the wire into position and solder it into the gap. my advantage... I have small SMD-soldering iron | |||
