The oldest movies I can think of are The Great Escape (197?) and Dirty Harry (1971).

The Great Escape is from 1963. [/b][/quote]

Really? :huh I had no idea it was that old.

That's spaghetti western.

   Pyrite Feb 12, 2004
Thats how americans say it .... (its a grammatical thing)

   Gallstaff Feb 12, 2004
I dont think that grammer, i think it's just switching the order of the words

Another Metropolis fan here. Superb movie.

2001 and Dr Strangelove are both excellent. And add anything Buster Keaton to the list as well.

12 DVD set for less than $9 shipped at Amazon...

History of Cinema Box set.

Might be a price error, but I picked it up.

It includes Metropolis and many others. So I thought it should be decent,

   IronChef Feb 22, 2004
Easy Rider

Peter Pan (Animated)

The Hidden Fortress

Throne of Blood

Rashomon

Yojimbo

...and of course The Seven Samurai

   Caelestis Feb 22, 2004
I don't care that it was 1972 or 1973 film...

The Sting is still a classic by any means... and kicks supreme ass.

Dial M for Murder

This movie is kind of actually a 'rewrite' of the earlier film M that I mentioned. Both films have Peter Lorre in them though.

...nobody mentioned The Seventh Seal yet? So uhh yeah..

The Seventh Seal!!!
