Hmm yeah, I posted a topic on the Zelda Collector's Edition board about how I felt the first game was still the best in the series, and only one or two people agreed with me. The vast majority said they liked either LttP or OoT better (mostly OoT). My list probably goes like this:
Zelda 1
LttP
Oracle of Seasons
MM
OoT
Oracle of Ages
Link's Awakening DX
Wind Waker
Zelda 2
To me, the original is the best because it has hardcore gameplay, more dungeons than any other Zelda game, and no stupid dialogue, cuccos, etc. to get in the way. I would have put Oracle of Ages higher, but it was too reliant on puzzles IMHO. |
