Yes, the very problem is that we can't say it's preposterous, because so much of our voting infrastructure hasn't been properly audited, and in fact much of it has been shown to be highly vulnerable even to a lone agent. For the elections to be messed up doesn't require any malfeasance on the part of the candidates or their campaigns.

Not at all, although I can appreciate that I put things that way at times. Part of it is just my tendency to play devil's advocate. But hey, even without that disclaimer, somebody's got to be pissed off these days. You guys should thank me for taking the burden.
