I'm not expert on Saturn...

But anyway, I got the PSX version (PAL)

I haven't rechecked things, but it seems like most of the files are the same (except from the boot files)

Anyway, I guess this game alone is a good reason to get a Saturn

(I haven't added one to my collection)

Anyway, I think you should check if it boots in a Sega Saturn emu (just for testing purpose, ignore the fact that performance and compatibility is just a dream in the Saturn emu world at the moment...)

Could you post a copy of the ToC/Track layout?

(Track start/end... Use Nero or something, and just hit the "cd media info" button or whatever it's named, it'll give you the info needed)

Maybe the track layout and stuff even is the same (guess the first data track will have some size differences, but the audio tracks will be the same...

(Wonder if the Saturn version has the same WEIRD bug the PSX version has (sometimes the audio is played VERY LOUD, and other times it can't be heard at all (just in the far far away distance)))

The same amount of tracks is on the PSX version, but I can´t say anything about the sizes yet...

(I´m not at home at the moment, I´ll check thing sout when I get back)

Also, I think the data track is a tiny bit larger on the PSX version.

Are there any Saturn movie players?

if so, is there any way you can check what movies are on the disc?

(There is a few logo + "Today, is a proud day" (or something like that) movie on the psx version)

I´ll post the toc for the PSX when I get home

Any way to post this up to a Usenet group for us all to see? I know there will be some lamers who usually leech complain that they cant get it to work but I'd like to try look at it. Even if it were a ISO/MP3 rip.

How about we all just wait. And as moderator of this forum, I'd like to remind everyone that the rules against begging are in force and will be enforced here as well.

Plz explain how you manage to do it. Now I have the curiosity

 Daniel Eriksson Feb 1, 2003
Great! This is indeed a big day! I cant wait until it is released! Thanks to all of you who made it possible!

 Carnivol Feb 1, 2003
WOW!

Amazing!

Comparing it to the PSX version, I've noticed certain things!

Everything looks the same, except from:

1: The joypad is ofcourse not a PSX joypad!

2: The Jeep doesn't have the hood on in the Saturn version (just like in the 3do and PC version) (guess the hood was added to the PSX version thanks to Germany and their weird laws for violence in games...)

3: It seems to look bit smoother on the Saturn...

Think I must get myself a Saturn + a nice little copy of the game!

Guess it's time to updated those FAQs/Guide's that stated those "last released games".

This is really an historical mark!

 Alexvrb Feb 2, 2003
Hmm, sounds like headline news! But the real question is, what's next for Return Fire? Meaning distribution information, sales or whatever is planned.

I now will print covers, manuals, buy enough DVD-Cases, CD-Rs, packages, etc... and build a site where you can order your copy of Return Fire...i will inform you as soon as possible...

 FAKK2 Feb 2, 2003
If anyone sends me this game I will put it up on my page for full download.

This game will not be available for download - i will produce real covers, manuals, etc... and sell it on my site for cost-price...

 M3d10n Feb 2, 2003
I assume, since it'll be put on CDR, the game will required a MOD-chip or swap trick to be played, right?

Yep

 IBarracudaI Feb 2, 2003
Humm... you say it won't be available Online, but instead you will sell it cost-price with a complete package...

I will really enjoy having this game with its full package... And I'm already saving money for it (I know it isn't much... hehe), but if you *won't* make any profit with it then why don't you make it downloadable... ???

Because i want a completed version of Return Fire and for that i need cases, covers, manuals, etc...

 IBarracudaI Feb 2, 2003
I see... but, unfortunately, you'll have to deal with the ftp scene ??? ... as it won't take much longer to be available online...

Then again, I look forward to order you a copy!
