I also like vans, Iv never had a problem with them falling apart and they are comfortable as soon as you put them on out of the box. No need for that horrible wearin period. The only thing i can complain about is that the sole wears out on them for me. I dont think its a fault in the shoe though, I think its more related to the weird way i twist my heel when I walk.

As for the K-swiss coment earlier, iv never worn them but my girlfriend absolutly loves those shoes. She says they are the most comfortable shoes she ever had. So if you can pass on the skater shoe I would also recomend those.

Oh yeaaa.....I forgot al about Adio! Their top notch too! Kenny Anderson is damn nice....but I still wouldn't trade my Globe's for anything....they really are over-engineered.....And their from Australia....What can't those Aussie's do?

I went and tried on a few pair today....the etnies I didn't really liek the feel of em. The D3's I liked a lot, but they have a design flaw....white mesh. That means it's gunan be a bitch to keep clean :-\. Now I gotta make a decision....haha. The D3's were like 20 bucks more too :-(.

My D3's are black. Theres a few colours. Try looking on the Osiris website to see the styles and ask the shoe store.

Can't go wrong with New Balance shoes. One of the few bigger names out there that actualy make their shoes to size and offer a selection of widths.

Nothing sucks more than walking into a shoe store and having to say "I wear an 11 1/2 EEE shoe, or a size 14 Nike/Rebok/etc."

Or if you have a Red Wing store near you, a pair of their low-top hiking boots will last you five years or so.

And Ice, you're right about the Wal-Mart shoes. I got myself a pair of $9 hiking boots last blitz-Friday and they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. And the $14 steel-toe boots I bought three years ago are still in great shape, minus a dent in the toe where I decided to test the limits of the steel with a sledge hammer...
