Strictly speaking, it's entirely up to the game, just like on Genesis/MD.

True. But AFAIK there aren't any games that have a lockout.

Interesting... so AES+Phantom Adaptor thingy to use MVS+Debug Bios = 0wnage NeoGeo system? That's what I gotta aim for I assume?

Yes, although the consolized MVS (with/Universe BIOS) or supergun setup is probably better overall for gaming. Either way, though, you pretty much get the same end result.

Except that you will pay a premium for AES titles compared to MVS. I own both, but prefer MVS due to the price, and the fact that I can view MVS on a monitor.

The price of AES titles is a big turn off.
