They're up on the auction block, and they're also trying to restructure. The real losers are their investors, man they're getting screwed. That's why you diversify. The good news is that the feds are going after the insiders big time, so the father/son team and anyone else in on it will go into the hiney-poke hotel.

I live close to pittsburgh in pennsylvania... and the remnants of Ivan have totally flooded the entire area. I got a call 5:30 this morning we had to go evacuate my grandparents. We stayed in there area for a while and watched people row boats to their front doors. I cant get to work cause all the roads are closed or destroyed or covered with some foreign material.. we got almost 6 inches of rain in about a 12 hour period, this followed by the almost 4 we got last week from frances.. Everything is a complete mess but atleast everyone I know is ok.

Yeah, I was just thinking about Racket earlier today.

I know you probably can't read this at the moment it was meant for but I hope you're doing okay, dude.

They got hammered (I mean the area, I hope Racket + wife are OK). Not a good year to move to Florida. Hopefully they'll get power soon. ARRR!

Good luck to you guys.

 racketboy Sep 20, 2004
thanks for your thoughts and prayers guys

our personal damage wasn't too bad -- just some water damage to carpet and ceiling.

We just got power back so we are mega-happy

more details later!

It's great to hear that you made it through OK.

 Alexvrb Sep 20, 2004
Good to hear. How are the MREs? I haven't eaten any rations in recent years, but the last time I got to try military rations they were actually pretty good (high calorie too).

We had enough of our own food to eat -- not that it was great fun.

You have no idea how great it was to eat hot spagettios and take a warm shower this evening.

Welcome back, rackety rack!

 Alexvrb Sep 21, 2004
Don't talk back!

Good to hear you didn't get too beat up by Ivan. I have to agree with others, what a crummy year to move to Florida.

OK OK... did i piss god off or what. Jeanne is starting in on us right now as i speak... and Ivan is supposedly supposed to turn back around from texas and come back. It could be a rumor, but i wouldnt be surprised. so far Charlie, Frances, Ivan, and now Jeanne.... mommy nature is a little upset with us down here.

 Cloud121 Sep 25, 2004
I was talking to Tara when it hit her.

I hope she's okay...

She said it could be up to three weeks before power comes back this time!

That sucks ass...

 Alexvrb Sep 26, 2004
Sometimes the odds are just stacked against you. We had a good stretch of relatively few major hurricanes. It was bound to happen. Anyway, stay safe people.

 lordofduct Sep 28, 2004
you have to see this.... if you havent. im not sure if its true, havent taken the time to research it.

 Curtis Sep 28, 2004
I expect Jeanne will ruin those results, but it would be interesting to see that path added to the map...

 IceDigger Sep 28, 2004
Racketboy, if you stayed in California you would have had a 6.0 earthquake today. Can't win I guess.
