A few Q's about the Saturn and emulation

Real time subdivision? Wow, *that* is impressive.

Can you confirm that the tiny flat surfaces you saw are really independant quads, and not gouraud-shading artifats? (you know, the blocky Saturn's gouraud shading).

When I get some time, I'll try getting to Soft Museum on either GiriGiri hack or Satourne. If it's really subdivision, those two emulators will denounce it. But it might take a while on my slow-mo 'puter...

Anyway, awesome pics! The visual effect is rather impressive.

When the light fell correctly you could clearly see many small flat surfaces. I don't think they're gouraud-shaded either but use the VDP2 line screen blending effect as the lighting is consistent across the whole polygon.
