Yes, Curtis it's your turn .

 Curtis Feb 13, 2003
OK, here we are. Let's see how old school you are...

Beach-Head on the C64.

 Curtis Feb 13, 2003
Bleh! Far too easy, I see...

 mal Feb 14, 2003
I used to love that game! I haven't played it in years...

I'm having trouble finding a screenshot that I'm after. <_<

That reminds me of Beach-Head III. Superb game, if very violent My brother and I loved playing it against each other... Having a game produce software speech on the C64 without pausing was one heck of a technical achievement back then. Very impressive

You've got excellent memory, considering only one sequel was made. But it seems a software company is reviving the title....

I think there were some user hacks of Beach Head II that were released as BHIII.

This is one of my favourite games ever.

Don't even think of reading the image's link. :devil

One of my faves as well, mal, I LOVED this game to death. It's Encounter for the C64.

The part between the levels where you had to fly through interdimensional space avoiding all those damned billiard balls trying to hit you just spooked me out.

 Taelon Feb 15, 2003
OK - no peeking at the link now!!!!!

 Daniel Eriksson Feb 15, 2003
No idea... Or wait, can it be X-Out for Amiga?

 antime Feb 15, 2003
Nope, it's Venus the Flytrap.

Peek at the filename all you want.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that loves this game.

I think Encounter is a prime example that shows that gameplay is so much more important than graphics in a game.

BIIING! antime wins! Venus The Flytrap, indeed. Although Daniel was halfway there in saying it was an Amiga game.

EDIT: Just now noticed antime already posted the next image. Looks like that funky 2D space shooter for the C64... I think it was called Bandits?

My father says it's Pick Axe Pete for the G7000 Videopac , he used to collect that kind of stuff. I don't really know since I'm younger than that game
